What keeps me going at work is knowing that the quality and accuracy of my work directly impacts many of our projects, which ultimately affects the calibre of the products we provide to our clients.

My female role model is my mother! She worked hard and excelled as an academic in a male-dominated field. Now as a senior researcher she has become a role model for many other young female researchers at her institution.

One unique impact women can make on the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: Women are the best champions and supporters of female healthcare issues.

One hope for women in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: As a database administrator, I hope to see more female representation in data and IT roles.

Words of encouragement to fellow women in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: Don’t be afraid to take risks in the workplace. We can often be our harshest critics. Even if you doubt your ability or qualifications, you will never know unless you try.

Worked at Zuellig Pharma for 24 years; 22 years in Vietnam with the most recent 2 years in Malaysia.

What keeps me going at work is the motivation to learn new things and the experience gained from managing new challenges.

My female role model is anyone who has good qualities for me to learn from.

One unique impact women can make on the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: Women are born to be natural caretakers, which is an important factor in the healthcare industry.

But more importantly, your impact on this world is a journey not a destination so don't forget to stop and smell the roses despite being busy with your careers.

What keeps me going at work is my family and passion to serve others. Firstly, I am thankful to be surrounded by caring people and knowing that I get to go home and seek solace in my beautiful family. Secondly, I see my role in Quality Assurance as a calling. I always aim to influence the people I work with to do the best we can to provide our customers with safe and high-quality products.

My female role models are female leaders who display boldness and tenacity while being able to maintain grace. These women inspire me to further improve myself, to take charge of my future and to make an impact on those around me.

One unique impact women can make on the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: Being the primary caregiver at home, women understand the need for accessible, on-time and high-quality healthcare. Every woman in the industry can influence access to high-quality healthcare – from the detailed manner in which she writes policies and guidelines to the careful ways she handles products at the shop floor. The nurturing and caring nature of a woman is a key driver in making healthcare accessible.
