Wuragil Kartika Sari
Senior Brand Manager in Indonesia

Job involves: Managing the diabetes portfolio in Indonesia.

Worked at Zuellig Pharma for close to 1 year.

What keeps me going at work is my desire to make the world a better place to live in by contributing to diabetes management. This is especially important in Indonesia where a high number of patients lack the right treatment.

My female role model is Susi Pudjiastuti, former Minister of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries in Indonesia. She is a woman of great tenacity who is able to get through all the obstacles she faces, and most importantly, loves what she does. She is full of passion and never gives up.

One hope for women in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: More equality in the treatment of women and more career opportunities for women.

 

Abigail Ee
Regional Business Development Manager



 

Job involves: Developing and ensuring a continuous pipeline of new partnerships with clients.

Worked at Zuellig Pharma for 9 years; 8 years in the Singapore office and 1 year in the regional office.

What keeps me going at work is the little milestones I accomplish for myself. Since moving into a new role, I have a lot to learn. With these bite-sized and achievable goals, I’m able to see progress and enjoy accomplishments along the way. This motivates me to work harder and continue to do my best at work.

My female role model is my mother because despite how tough things are, she has always kept herself grounded, calm and stays confident that things will eventually sort themselves out. This has enabled me to see the good in every challenging situation, continue to persevere, let go of what I can’t control and helps me use my core values as a guiding light.

One unique impact women can make on the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: In the field of healthcare, women are empowered to deliver work ethics second to none, challenge the status quo, and push boundaries while still providing the compassion when needed.

One hope for women in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: As women, we are more vocal and show empathy towards women’s medical needs and wants. It is useful that we have the first-person experience and understanding at every stage, from product research to commercial, to uncover and build on market opportunities that empower and further establish the women’s health arena.

Words of encouragement to fellow women in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry: Go For It. Think laterally and gain a wide set of experiences. This will allow you to do well and achieve whatever you set out to do. Be true to yourself, act with integrity, don’t stop learning and celebrate your achievements.
